It’s Back!
After a one-year hiatus, St. Patrick’s Parish will resume the process for prospective adult Catholic converts. The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA), involves a series of meetings with clergy and other Catholic adults, during which candidates are gradually introduced to various aspects of Catholic beliefs and practices.

St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church celebrated its 9th Annual Trunk-or-Treat with an exciting twist this year, moving the festivities to St. Patrick’s cherished Irish Picnic Grounds.

The St. Vincent de Paul Society of McEwen and North America Lineman Training Center (NALTC) in McEwen are joining to host three mobile food pantries in 2024. The first will be Saturday, March 23 at the NALTC campus on Trace Creek Road in McEwen.

ACE is one of three grants St. Patrick School depends heavily on for financial aid for its students. The benefit dinner for ACE is coming up in November, and what is excited about this year is that donors can specify their donation to go directly to the St. Patrick School Endowment fund for Financial Aid. Before, it went to a general Endowment Fund, but now it is more specific, meaning St. Patrick School can grow its endowment to directly increase financial aid for students today and yet to come. The Youth Leadership Workshop (YLW) unites rising juniors,seniors, and college freshman from parishes all across our Diocese for four days of leadership training and spiritual growth. The goal of YLW is to empower and educate young leaders about their faith and the gifts, talents, and abilities God has given them. YLW is grounded in our Catholic faith as participants will experience unique experiences in Adoration, Prayer, the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Mass. During the workshop, teens will interact in small groups to explore their leadership styles, understand Christ’s call to discipleship, and build lasting relationships.

On Sunday, October 23, 2022 we celebrated The Rite of Acceptance for those who are seeking full communion with the Catholic Church. This Rite marks the beginning of the Catechumenate which is a time for nurturing and growth in faith and conversion to God. As a church community we are all called to pray and support those who are on the journey to commit their life to Christ and be received into the Church at Easter: Danielle & Tanner Wilson, Thomas & Breanna Hooper, Jennifer Robison, Jessica Wallace, Forrest Horan and Joshua Avazquez (not pictured).
